Alice Eddé and ESMOD present the creations of talented young designers
On a balmy evening in Byblos, the Alice Eddé boutique in the Old Souk hosted a fashion extravaganza in the cobble-stone streets of the Souk to kick off their summer event season.

To coincide with the start of the internationally renowned Byblos Festival, seven up-and-coming fashion design students from ESMOD Beirut were commissioned to design dresses using the
Alice Eddé signature floral print fabric. From the theatrical to the prêt-à-porter, the dresses were distinctly unique. Every creation truly showcased the original vision of its young designer.

The
Alice Eddé dresses were modelled by dancers from the Al-Sarab Alternative Dance School in Byblos who mingled amongst the crowd wearing also flower crowns made for the occasion by French brand Pantheone.

Others modelled a selection of the accessories available at the boutique: bags, floral headwear and costume jewellery, as guests perused the items in the greenhouse-inspired shop.

The talented 1
st year students showing their designs were: Barbara Masri, Léa El Banna, Marina Rizkallah, Tara El Najjar, Elio Srour, Marie Joe Saad & Omar Ghanem.

The winner, as voted for by attendees with an overwhelming majority was Omar Ghanem.

The atmosphere was electric, as guests enjoyed delicious nibbles prepared by the EddéSands chefs and drank summer-y, pink ‘Hotspot’ cocktails created by Head Barman, Bassam Sakr.
"With so much creativity right here in Lebanon it seems unthinkable to me not to encourage and celebrate the next generation of brilliant young designers" says Alice Eddé.
